The site
What is MinerTerminal?
A data site on the 18 public companies whose main reported business is, or was when they listed, mining bitcoin, with 2 benchmarks beside them. Every figure is read from a document the company itself published and links to it, so it can be checked at the source. The about page says who publishes it and how to reach them.
Who publishes it, and who pays for it?
Dean Shalem, Maryland, United States. The site is pre-revenue: nothing on it is sold, and no company, vendor or advertiser pays for anything here. A covered company, a vendor selling it hardware or the firm handling its investor relations can never sponsor it. No position in a covered company is disclosed yet; when one is, it appears on the about page with its date.
Is any of this investment advice?
No. Nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, and no page rates a company as a good or a bad investment. The site does not know who you are or what you own, so nothing here is written for your situation. The terms say this in full.
The numbers
Where does each number come from?
From a document the company published: a filing on EDGAR or SEDAR+, or a release on its own site or a newswire. Each figure carries the period it measures, the date it was read and a link to the document, in the card it opens or in its title. How each figure is chosen is on the methodology page.
Why does a figure show words instead of a number?
Because the site never fills a gap. Where it cannot read a figure it says so in words, with the reason. Where a company's own filed value fails one of the site's checks, it is held rather than printed, shown as words with the two figures that disagree, and listed under facts in review on the methodology page.
What do reported, computed and the hatched mark mean?
Reported is the company's own figure, with its document. Computed is the site's arithmetic on figures that are each sourced, drawn with a hatched mark. A computed proxy stands in where a company does not disclose the inputs, and a figure that is not disclosed is shown as words. The methodology lists each figure's formula.
Why is a figure marked not comparable?
The company defines it differently from its peers, for example a cost to mine counted over a different basket of costs. The note beside the figure says how, and the methodology gives each definition.
How current is the data?
Each page carries the date its sources were last read, and every figure carries its own period and as-of date. Closing prices are added each night. A figure whose period ended more than 400 days before the data's as-of date is marked stale with its age; it stays on the page because it is still the latest the company has filed. The changelog dates every dataset.
What does the pay percentile on the people list mean?
It is the share of the other named executive officers, across the covered companies, who were paid less in their latest proxy year. It is a rank within the officers on file, not a verdict on anyone's pay. The methodology gives the method, the role groups and why pay years differ by fiscal year.
Errors and changes
I think a number is wrong. What happens?
Write to hello@theminerterminal.com with the page, the figure and the document that contradicts it. Every report is checked against the primary document within 48 hours. A figure that was wrong is corrected on its page with a note naming the change and its date, and the corrections log records it.
How do I see what has changed on the site?
The changelog lists each change a reader can see, newest first: a new page or figure, a changed method, a fixed figure. A data refresh is not a row; the same page dates every dataset instead. The corrections page holds the policy for a figure found wrong and its log.
Using the site
Can I quote or reuse the figures?
Cite any figure with the site, the metric, the company, the as-of date and the page address; the about page gives the form. Redistributing the dataset or republishing pages needs a written yes from hello@theminerterminal.com.
Do I need an account, and is there a newsletter?
No account is needed: every page and every figure is open to read. The newsletter and the watchlist emails are not running yet, so no address is collected; the privacy page says what will be kept once they start.
What does the site keep about me?
Nothing beyond the request logs any web server keeps. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising, and your theme and table density stay in your own browser. The privacy page has the detail.

Every company with current SEC or SEDAR reporting obligations whose primary reported segment is, or was when it listed, mining bitcoin for itself. Companies that hold bitcoin as a treasury are benchmarks, not miners. The rule is re-run each quarter, and the universe rule and log name every company added or removed.
